Getting the Game

Available on Steam for PC and Mac in Early Access. Steam store page
helpHow much does it cost?
$39.99 USD during Early Access. Price will increase after EA ends.
Important: Paralives will NEVER have paid DLCs — only free expansions.
helpIs it available on consoles or mobile?
No console version currently planned. No mobile version planned at all.
Gameplay
helpIs this an online multiplayer game?
No. Paralives is single-player only and does not require an internet connection.
helpIs there a first-person or third-person mode?
No. The camera is a free 3D camera, similar to other life simulation games.
helpWhat languages does the game support?
English, French, Simplified Chinese, Spanish (Latin America), Portuguese (Brazil), German, Italian, and Polish. More languages may be added in the future.
helpWhat is the age rating?
Paralives targets a Teen rating. No mature content such as drugs, murder, sexual violence, pornography, or gore.
helpWhat are the life stages in the game?
8 life stages: Baby, Toddler, Child, Pre-Teen, Teen, Young Adult, Adult, Elder. See our Life Stages Guide.
helpCan I turn off aging?
Yes. Aging can be adjusted or disabled anytime in the Storyteller menu.
Technical

helpThe game crashes or freezes, what do I do?
Make sure your PC meets minimum requirements.

helpMy Para is stuck and can't do anything.
Press the "Unstuck" button in the ESC menu.
helpSave files are not loading.

helpMac users have trouble with camera controls.
Try using a mouse instead of the trackpad.
Modding
helpDoes the game support mods?
Yes! Players can share mods and custom content via Steam Workshop. Script mods are not planned currently.
