Checked through EA patch 0.1.5 · July 2026
Synced with in-game HELP through patch 0.1.5 (July 2026). Your Steam build may differ—run HELP before copying any line. Commands are not case-sensitive; most money, skill, and career lines need a selected Parafolk. ⚠️ ZIPSAVEFILE before KILLCHARACTER, SPAWNALLITEMS, or multi-command experiments.
Before You Copy a Command
The table below lists common player commands—not every internal dev line from the console. After each Early Access patch, confirm the line still works on your save using these steps:
- check_circleType HELP in-game (build 0.1.5 or newer) and search for the command name before you paste from this page.
- check_circleMatch money presets and SETNEED argument names against HELP output.
- check_circleCross-read Patch 0.1.3 notes for indirect gameplay changes.
- check_circleSpot something wrong? Contact us with your build from Settings → About.
Mods + 0.1.5: Test Cheats on a Clean Copy
Patch 0.1.5 adds a Mods toggle-all option, but heavy Workshop stacks can still silence console commands.
- Duplicate a mod-free sandbox; run HELP there after each patch before copying lines to your Story save.
- If Reimporting returns: disable every Workshop item in Steam, load once with zero mods, re-enable one at a time (newest Last Updated first).
- See the Mod guide for the full stack-reset order.
Paralives Cheat Command Builder
Pick what you are trying to fix, fill in one value, then copy a command that matches the current Early Access syntax. Use this on a duplicated save first, especially after a patch or with Workshop mods enabled.
Generated command
PRINTMONEY 5000
How to Open the Cheat Console
Paralives Early Access exposes a developer console for debugging—not a separate testing cheats toggle. Open it with the shortcuts below, select the Parafolk you want to affect when prompted, and treat every money or age command as a save-label decision.
Windows
macOS
- check_circleNo need to type testingcheats true — enter commands directly.
- check_circleType HELP after every patch — it lists only commands valid on your current build.
- check_circleUsing Steam Workshop mods? Test cheats on a mod-free save copy first.
How to Use Cheats Without Breaking a Save
Cheats are fastest when you know the category you need. Filter below, copy the exact syntax, paste into the console, then press Enter once. If nothing happens, click the Para in Live Mode and retry—selection errors look like broken commands.
Patch 0.1.5 Cheat Safety Update
Three autosaves and Steam Cloud make experiments easier to recover from, but dangerous commands still deserve a named duplicate. Autosaves can preserve a mistake as easily as they preserve a rescue point.
- Use ZIPSAVEFILE or a named duplicate before KILLCHARACTER, SPAWNALLITEMS, or money resets.
- After a patch, run HELP again before trusting old command lists.
Safe Play Checklist
- check_circleLabel saves: Story, Sandbox Build, and Cheat Lab so you never confuse them in the load menu.
- check_circleMoney cheats fix cash flow, not mood or job strikes—pair Paradimes boosts with RELIEFALLNEEDS before important scenes.
- check_circleAfter each Steam patch, run HELP once—even if you already bookmarked the Updates page.
- check_circleWorkshop mods and cheat chains do not always mix—duplicate a mod-free save before testing.
- check_circleZIPSAVEFILE before dangerous debug, then play one more in-game day and save normally.
Story Save vs. Sandbox Save
On your Melino story file, PRINTMONEY 5000 or PIGGYBANK is a bill rescue—not a substitute for learning Town Hub jobs.
Common Cheat Mistakes
- closeSpamming SETAGE without planning school or romance gates—life stage jumps have side effects beyond appearance.
- closeRunning SPAWNALLITEMS on a household you care about—inventory clutter and stability risks are real in EA.
- closePRINTALLPOSSIBLEEXTRASFOROCCUPATION or ADDSKILL with no Para selected—the console gives no error.
- closeCopying a pre-0.1.3 wiki row without re-running HELP.
- closeSETMONEY 999999 on your only save, then wondering why Wants feel flat.
When to Use Each Category
Pick a filter below, but read the category first—most save problems come from using the right command on the wrong file.
Money
Use when — Rent or bills block week-two progress on a story save, or you duplicated a sandbox file for pure building.
Skip when — You have not finished the Day 1 path on your only file.
Needs
Use when — A Para collapses mid-shift, date, or outing because Energy or Hunger spiraled; RELIEFALLNEEDS is the fast reset.
Skip when — You run it every morning by habit—you will never learn which needs actually break your schedule.
Skills
Use when — You need PRINTAP to plan a first job, or one skill bump for a sandbox screenshot—not a maxed skill sheet.
Skip when — You max every skill on day one of a story save and skip the training loops jobs and hobbies expect.
Career
Use when — Debugging applications with PRINTAP, or sandbox role-play without grinding multiple promotion weeks.
Skip when — You PROMOTE spam on a main save before experiencing strikes, schedules, and work–life tradeoffs.
Age
Use when — Sandbox storytelling, testing teen romance arcs (0.1.3+), or REVIVE after ZIPSAVEFILE on an accidental death.
Skip when — You jump teens to adult to skip school and social gates you have not played through yet.
Debug
Use when — UNSTUCK for pathing bugs, EXTINGUISHALLFIRES for fire glitches, ZIPSAVEFILE before any experiment.
Skip when — KILLCHARACTER or SPAWNALLITEMS on households you care about; TOGGLEEDITTOWN without knowing town state changes.
Easter Eggs
Use when — HELP or CHEATLIST after a patch, or harmless console jokes on a throwaway save.
Skip when — RAGEQUIT with unsaved Live Mode progress.
Five Melino Moments That Deserve a Cheat (and Five That Deserve a Nap)
The console can save a week—or wreck a save. Paralives has no testingcheats: Ctrl+Shift+C or Ctrl+F1 opens it. Before you type, know whether this is your Story file or a Sandbox copy, and run HELP after each patch. Green moments are rescues; red moments mean walk away.
Green light: bills ambushed you on week two
Rent showed up before your Para learned what Town Hub even sells. PIGGYBANK or a modest PRINTMONEY on a duplicated save is fine—pay the bill, go to work tomorrow, keep the lesson. SETMONEY 999999 on your only file turns Wants into wallpaper.
Yellow light: teen romance experiments (0.1.3+)
Teens can flirt now—exciting! SETAGE on your main household is not. Duplicate the family, label it Sandbox, test pink cards there, and keep school weeks honest on Story. The console will not apologize for skipped Labels.
Blue light: your Para welded themselves to a bench
UNSTUCK exists because navmesh happens. Click the Para, run UNSTUCK, sigh, continue. No need to escalate to KILLCHARACTER unless you enjoy filing bug reports from a backup save.
Purple light: build mode ate your afternoon
Bulldoze regrets and flooring marathons belong on a Sandbox or Cheat Lab slot—ZIPSAVEFILE first, then experiment. Ctrl+Z helps until it does not; EA saves are moody.
Red light: put the keyboard down
If you have done any of these, close the console and make food:
- blockSPAWNALLITEMS on the lot you actually live on—your inventory is not a hoarding challenge.
- blockPROMOTE three times before your Para has earned a single strike story—performance is still a game system.
- blockRAGEQUIT because HELP dropped a line you memorized in May—patches giveth and patches taketh away.
- blockCopying commands through a thick Mod stack without a mod-free HELP check—0.1.5 helps toggling, not chaos.
Three seconds before you hit Enter
After every patch, type HELP in-game and see what still works. For money, skills, or careers, click your Parafolk first. Forget to select someone? Nothing happens—and the game will not beep to warn you.
Two Save Lanes: Story Rescue vs. Sandbox Lab
Paralives does not ask whether you are cheating—it asks which save file you are editing. Pick a lane before Ctrl+Shift+C; mixing them is how a week-one Story household turns into a cautionary tale.
Lane A: your Story save (bandages only)
This is the household you care about—rent, strikes, teen Labels, Together progress. Cheats here fix emergencies, not boredom.
- checkPIGGYBANK or PRINTMONEY 5000 when utilities would end the run—not SETMONEY six figures on day three.
- checkRELIEFALLNEEDS before a shift or date you already committed to—not every morning on autopilot.
- checkUNSTUCK or EXTINGUISHALLFIRES when EA pathing steals an hour—not KILLCHARACTER because you are mildly annoyed.
- checkZIPSAVEFILE before anything you would not describe to a friend; then play one real day and save normally.
Lane B: Sandbox / Cheat Lab (experiments welcome)
Duplicate the family, label it Sandbox, and treat it like a junk drawer with furniture. If it catches fire, you delete the copy—not your memories.
- scienceSETMONEY spikes, PROMOTE chains, and SPAWNALLITEMS live here—not on the slot where you remember your Para's first job.
- scienceTeen romance after 0.1.3? Test pink cards on Sandbox before SETAGE skips school on Story.
- scienceBulldoze marathons and flooring tests—ZIPSAVEFILE first; Ctrl+Z until the game surrenders.
- scienceMods subscribed? Run HELP on a mod-free duplicate—use 0.1.5 toggle-all before blaming your Workshop list.
